Education & Outreach, Banner Research

Brian Browne directs education and community outreach initiatives within the science, business, and lay communities. In this capacity he interprets the science of Banner Research to the local, national and international community and creates mutually beneficial strategic partnerships. Brian also directs Banner Research’s education training programs, and stewards Banner Research’s emerging relationships within the community at large.

Training and education programs at Banner Research include high school, undergraduate, graduate, post-doctoral and professional training. The award winning Banner Research Summer Internship Program highlights educational excellence at Banner Research.

Brian is responsible for creating and implementing activities aimed at increasing awareness of Alzheimer’s and neurodegenerative disease research, promoting the Arizona Alzheimer’s Consortium and Alzheimer’s Prevention Initiative Registry.

Brian is a frequent lecturer at meetings and conferences around the country and has expertise in dementia care education and training, Alzheimer’s research, healthy aging and cultural competency in healthcare and research.

As an undergraduate, Brian attended Arizona State University after which he completed a graduate degree in Public Health from Cleveland State University. Brian is also a Certified Dementia Practitioner and a Certified Senior Advisor.

Brian serves as an advisor on Career and Technical Education in the Dysart and Agua Fria School Districts. He also serves on the leadership council of the Alzheimer’s Association and on the board of the Arizona Foundation for Eye Health.
