Kewei Chen, PhD received the B. Sc. degree in Mathematics from Beijing Normal University, China, in 1980, the M. Sc. in Biomathematics from the same institute in 1985, and the Ph.D. degree in Biomathematics in 1993 from the University of California, Los Angeles, USA.
He is the director of the Computational Image Analysis Program at Banner PET Center, and adjunct Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Arizona State University. He has held several other visiting positions, including at Beijing Normal University, Beijing, China, and Dalian University of Technology, Dalian, China. His current research interests primarily fall into the neuroimaging study of Alzheimer’s disease and the general methodology studies in the neuroimaging field including PET, MRI and fMRI.
