Dr. Rapcsak’s research interests include language function in individuals with stroke or neurodegenerative disorders, including Alzheimer’s disease and primary progressive aphasia (PPA). Another area of interest is the role of temporal and frontal lobe structures in face recognition memory. Dr. Rapcsak’s research is supported by the Arizona Alzheimer’s Disease Core Center (ADCC) funded by the National Institute on Aging, and by grants from the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders.
