Dr. Trouard’s research focuses on the development and application of novel Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) technologies to a number of biomedical problems including Alzheimer’s disease, Neimann-Pick Type C disease and cancer. A major emphasis of these efforts has been the development of high-resolution diffusion-weighted MRI (DWMRI) techniques and their application in humans and in animal models of disease. His research has been awarded grant support from a number of institutes within the NIH and he has authored many research articles within a wide range of disciplines. He currently serves on the Internal Scientific Advisory Committee of the Arizona Alzheimer’s Consortium.
